Summer 2011 at Kill Buck

image-45Evan flew to New York with Grandma Z to spend a little over a week golfing and eating at Elkdale, meeting new friends, meeting Aunt Terry, playing with Gaga and Papa, and having a great time “in the forest” aka Grandma’s house. He also enjoyed building a bird house, seeing some Alpacas, and even drinking some of Grandma Z’s perfume. A big thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Z for having Evan stay with them. Birthday Fun

img_3840Well – the first year has come and gone. We had a joint birthday party for the twins this year and had a lot of friends and family come and celebrate with us. Although the weather was not always cooperative – we had a great time eating Portillos and Costco cake as well as playing in the back yard with all kinds of fun toys. Check out the photos so you can see the excitement for yourself!
A big thanks to all that came out and joined us for Cora and Will’s first birthday!

Helping Out

Ever since the kids have started sitting at the table to eat their Cheerios – Evan has been enjoying helping out (giving them Cheerios, and more Cheerios) and making them laugh. The twins love their big brother and Evan loves them as well. He loves being near them, hugging them, and kissing them. A big thanks to Evan when he reads this for being such a good helper and big brother!

Christmas – A Month Later

It has been a while since our last update….lots going on. So just a few notes. We spent Christmas in Florida with Jen’s parents and grandparents. I was pretty frustrated because I was in Florida and the temperature was only in the 50s, but it was nice to see family and I know that Gaga and Papa were very excited to see all the kids.

Evan had fun, constantly opening presents. Will enjoyed eating all the tissue paper he could get his hands on. Cora was excited just to play and scream (thankfully this screaming habit has passed). Jen was busy becoming an expert with the Fushigi ball. I got to take a few walks and even saw an armadillo.

The sun was shining bright some of the time and we went out to an awesome park nearby. Evan had so much fun on the seesaw and the giant sandbox – what could be better?

Of course there were a lot of golf cart rides as well with Papa. Thank you to Vickey and Phil for everything.

Grandad’s Visit

This past week, Grandad came to visit and take care of the twins for my first week of school. We so appreciate his help and willingness to take care of the twins and Evan. He took some good shots while he was here, so I wanted to post the update.

Some new great photos

We have been busy in the last few weeks, many visitors and just the normal baby stuff going on. We have taken a few shots so you can see how amazing our little ones are getting. Both have doubled in size. Cora is over nine pounds and Will is over 10. Every day is a new day with new changes…some days they eat like crazy and other days we are throwing away formula because they decide they do not want to eat. This week they seem a little happier and calmer than last week so that makes us all happy.

Thank you Aunt Kathy for coming last week and helping out. It was fabulous to see you and I know that Evan, Cora and Will enjoyed your visit.

Family Visit

The past couple of days have been a great time for all of us. Katie, Ellen, Mom Muller, and Aunt Jackie came to visit and Ellen and Katie bonded with all of the children. Ellen and Evan are new best friends (when he is not biting her) and Katie is a third mom to our little twins. It was wonderful to see my cousins and fabulous to have to have their help. I look forward to another visit – maybe August?

Zelaznys Visit

All the Zelaznys came for a visit (Mom/Dad/Julie) (and Dan/Hunter) to meet the newest additions to the family. Hunter and Evan had a good time and we even got Dan to hold both babies at one point (without forcing it).

This was also the first time Dad met the twins so it was nice for him to finally see them since Mom had been with since before the twins were born. We all had a great time and appreciated everyone visiting.

Cousin Hunter Visits

Cousin Hunter, Aunt Julie, and Uncle Dan recently came to visit the twins to meet them for the first time and Evan and Hunter had a great time playing together. They loved playing in the backyard and just running around together in general. We hope Hunter comes back soon for another visit soon!

Big Grandad’s Visit

Grandad Muller visited this past week and I think he had a great time. He was suppose to only come out in July, but could not wait to meet little Will and Cora. They are changing so fast, he did not want to miss a thing. Dad had a baby in his arms most of the day and was up every night with us, helping feed the babies. It was awesome. Evan also enjoyed his Big Grandad’s visit. Thanks dad for coming and we look forward to your return in July. Thanks a million…you cannot imagine how the extra hands come in handy :). The extra help also allowed Jen and I to go out last night – it was nice to get away.
