William’s Broken Arm

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Last Thursday – I got a call from the school as I walked into the Nittany Lion Inn at Penn State. They were concerned about Will’s arm after he fell from the monkey bars. Amy soon arrived to pick him up since I was in PA and road with him via ambulance to the hospital.

William is doing pretty good. We have an appointment with the same Orthopedic that did Cora’s surgery to see if he needs surgery or if everything looks good as is. I will keep everyone posted!

First day of school quiz:

What is “Kicking and Screaming”?

A. One of Jen’s favorite movies?
B. How Cora entered the classroom?
C. All of the above?

The boys had a great morning – no tears, but Cora…not so much. The answer is C. At one point she literally was kicking and screaming as I tried to put her in line with her other classmates. Good times!

Cora’s Broken Arm

Poor Cora slipped off something about 8 inches off the ground, landed perfectly on her elbow, broke it, and the bone above it and ended up in surgery with three metal pins. She was brave and we hope she feels better soon!

First Day of Kindergarten

After a long summer of waiting – Evan is spending his first minutes right now in Kindergarten as I type. I am not sure who was more nervous – me or Evan (actually I am sure it was me). I drove him over to the school, walked him into the school to his class, and then did a good job of not crying as I exited.

He seemed excited up until the moment I put him in front of the door in line with his other classmates. He did not cry or say anything to the effect he was nervous – but by not saying anything at all I knew he was probably a little overwhelmed by all the kids. I know he will do great and I look forward to hearing all the exciting stories he is sure to bring home.
