The latest on the whole crew
Evan has graduated from his baby bathtub to taking a bath in the entire bathtub. Of course all he wants to do is stand up, touch the faucet, crawl in the water, touch the soap dish, play with anything in reach, then crawl around some more. He loves all the space – and you cannot turn your back for a second. Bath time is a new adventure, once again.

Evan enjoyed his first Thanksgiving with Amy, me, and the Rominskis. We had a lot of good food and Evan liked everything except the cranberry sauce. Here are a few pictures from the big day (which is now Evan’s favorite holiday).
Evan and Triscuit both tried on their Halloween costumes yesterday so we could snap a few pictures. Of course, Yoda was more interested in eating the pumpkin stem than trying to train Triscuit to use the light saber, but at least Triscuit ran a few laps to show off her “racer” costume. This past weekend, we all went to the Goebbert farm not too far from here. They had lots of cool fall activities including a petting zoo, camel rides, hay wagon rides, and lots of pumpkins. Evan seemed more confused than anything, but it was definitely a day to remember. Check out the new photos!
We were shopping over the weekend at Whole Foods and saw a cute little pair of crocs that just about fit Evan so we bought them for him. He is still getting used to shoes, but he looks pretty darn cute in them!
This morning Evan and I were hanging out and he was playing with one of his teething toys. He chewed on it for awhile, pulled it out of his mouth, got a big smile on his face, then tried to put it in my mouth. I pretended to chew on it, then he put it back in his mouth. A few minutes later, did the same thing again – each time just smiling like it was the coolest thing ever. For those 1980s children out there like me – it was a real Sloth and Chunk moment. (Mom – if you do not understand the reference, ask Dad.)
Last night Evan decided to crawl over into Triscuit’s bed – which is not very unusual, but what was unusual was that Triscuit, seeing him in the bed, decided to go over and lay in it with him. Evan sat up and enjoyed some cat toys while sitting close to her sister. No growls, fur pulling, or anything crazy – which is what we have been looking forward to for the last few mobile months.
A few days ago I went in Evan’s room to get him out of the crib and there he was – sitting up and all I could say was “Well, hello” – like he meant business! (Sorry about the blurry picture – it was pre-Coca Cola)
With only a few hours before the Penn State v. Notre Dame kickoff – Evan decided he better take a nap. We have been enjoying college football all day long – (Ohio State, Michigan State, and now Michigan). Here are a few pictures of Evan in his PSU jersey on his PSU chair.
