Today, while working, I received my first instant message from Evan. He is over at our friends’ (Doug and Kelly) house for the next few days while Amy is still at school. Since he was out of the office, I am sure he just wanted to check in. A very informal message popped up from him via Kelly’s IM account:

“gthyjkl;l”

followed by a:

“fgfhjijuokl,;.”

I better get back to work before I receive more instructions from the VP that I do not understand. Sound familiar? Crazy upper-management at it again.

A few weeks ago our good friend Ken came out to visit. I finally got around to importing and organizing the pictures. We had a good time – perhaps too good as Evan did not want to sleep at all during the day when Ken was here. I am sure Evan could sense the fun Ken and I were having. Thanks for visiting Ken!

Moms’ Big Night Out

Last weekend Sally, Krista, and Heather came over and babysat Evan while Amy and I went to the ballet. A huge thanks to all of them for making us feel 100% comfortable with going out for the evening. Heather did not make any pictures…but she did come an hour early to get some one on one time.

Evan Looking Cute

Last weekend, our friend Sarah brought us some amazing breakfast from Panera (thanks!) and spent some catching up with us and of course spent time with Evan. Evan was wearing one of my favorite outfits we received as a gift. Not only does he look pretty darn cute in it, he liked to play with the little owl on the front pocket. We are very thankful for all our friends and family that have visited us and spent time with Evan and look forward to the spring and summer so we can all spend time together outside in the nice weather!

Great Aunt Kathy and Evan

Evan’s sixth week of life was a very exciting one. Evan experienced his first Super Bowl, he met his Great Aunt Kathy, and met his first true southerner (Francine). We are very happy to have Kathy stay with us and hope she comes back soon! I have posted some new pictures in the photos section.
