Sleeping Cora
Cora’s Makeup
At the end of the day yesterday as I was wrapping up work and Amy was picking up – Cora found a red marker and decided to color her lips with the red marker. Perhaps she needs a lesson on application (unless her goal was to look like the Joker from Batman).
Cora’s New Room
This past weekend Evan, Amy, and I worked hard to paint and get Cora’s room in order so she would have her own cute girl room. We went with a light yellow (see photos) and then added in some wall decals for some nice decorations. Cora seems to like her room but would still prefer to leave it after we put her down at night (we have to put up a baby gate to keep her in). She also loves having the fish tank in her room and looks forward to feeding them everyday.
Keep your clothes on!
Clothes would be okay if the diaper did not come off with it. Cora has decided she is more comfortable with her clothes off and her diaper as well. The one positive is it seems she always goes potty before the diaper comes off. Yesterday she took her pants and diaper off, we put it back on twice and then I decided to just bring the potty chair out into the living room and told her several times to sit and put her down on the chair several times. I went to put clean clothes away and came out and Cora was shapely getting out of the clothes backet….weird. I went to take a look and she had gone potty in the basket. I guess it is better than the couch or floor. There is always something crazy going on at the Muller-Zelazny household!
Cora’s Pigtails
On Friday I took Cora to get her hair cut and for the first 5 minutes she screamed at the top of her lungs and then all the sudden stopped and realized she was fine. She did great for the rest of the haircut and the hair stylist then put her hair in pig tails which I thought were super adorable and snapped this photo.
I’m Climbing Out
The other day the baby-sitter went in twins’ room to see why Cora was crying…and this is what she saw. She has not tried to climb out since (or at least has been successful) but I knew she would be out sooner than later.
Our Little Ballerina
Cora loves a few things: boots, and standing on the table. Regardless of how much we try, Cora (and Will) love to be on top of the dining room table. We have tried pushing chairs in and moving them out. Cora then went to her room, got a toy to climb on, and then climbed up on the table that way. Even though we cannot keep boots on either twin while in the car or in the stroller (they take them off), she enjoys wearing boots non-stop in the house.
Cora Visits Florida
When my mom told me she was coming out for Evan’s birthday party and knowing we would all be flying to Florida 5 days later – I threw out the idea that she could take one of the twins back with her if she wanted for the few days that we would still be here in Chicago. I figured they might enjoy having some one on one time with one of the kids (since Evan stays with them for a few days/week each summer) and that would also help us. She ended up choosing Cora this time around since Cora is easier to maneuver by herself on the plane. Will looks forward to some one on one time later this year!
The plane ride went well and everyone had a blast in Florida. Cora was quite social and enjoyed meeting new people and spending time with her grandparents and great grandparents.
Cora Lounging

Cora and will do great in stores while Amy and I shop, but Cora cracks me up with her seat positions. She is either lounging like you see here – or standing. There is no between.
