Mom’s Spa Night

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

His preschool class had a “Mom’s Spa Night” which entailed a relaxing hour with your preschooler as they gave manicures, massages, and pampered their mothers. Since I am generally the one who is involved with Evan at preschool I thought this would be a great opportunity for Evan to spend time with Amy at his school. As you can see Evan painted Amy’s nails and had a great time spending time with his Mama.

Evan’s First T-Ball Game

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Evan had his first T-Ball game last night and he absolutely loved it. He did a great job with hitting and playing his positions in the field. His favorite of games? His really long red socks.

Evan’s Friend

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Evan has a friend that he met his first year of pre-school and ever since they love playing together on the playground and at soccer every week. Here is a picture of the two of them after Evan gave her a bracelet (aka one of Amy’s hairbands). She was super excited and just gave him a big hug.

Big Trucks

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Every year our town has a day in the spring where the local companies bring their “big trucks” so that kids can see them, sit in them, and blow their horns (the neighborhood must love it). Evan and I got there when it was really busy and the lines were pretty long to see anything so we stood in line for the police truck (he wants to be a police officer), and then I had him stand in one of the bull dozer’s buckets (as seen in the photo). We were in line for a cool recycling truck but of course Evan had to go to the bathroom half way though the line – so we just left and hung out with some of his pre-school friends on the playground.

Kite Flying

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Every year – our town holds a “Go Fly a Kite” day where a ton of kids/adults go to a park and all fly kites. I took Evan two years ago when Amy was on bed rest with the twins and we decided to go again this year. After I figured out how to put the kite together – we enjoyed flying the kite (Yoda) aka “Yoga” (Evan was mis-pronouncing the name).

First T-Ball Practice

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Evan is playing T-Ball this year and yesterday was his first practice. He was most excited about his cleats and how they made him run extra fast. He kept saying – “Look at these babies go”. He had a blast and really liked that this sport is outside (all his other classes/sports are indoors). He is on the St. Louis Cardinals team and is wearing #6 (I chose the # based on one of my favorite PSU football players that played the last few years…who reminded me of what Evan might look like when he gets older).

The team is comprised of 11 players. At practice they broke into small groups and then practiced running the bases, throwing, and catching. Let me know if you are interested in seeing him in action at an upcoming game. Games are 1 hour long and generally on Saturdays in May/June.

Angry Birds Outside the iPad

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Evan has really got creative lately. Not only does he enjoy playing Angry Birds on the iPad, he also love so to play “outside the iPad” as well. He finds things he can use to build levels and then brings in his stuffed animals to act as pigs that he, with his stuffed animal Angry Birds needs to knock over (just like the iPad game). This is Evan with one of his set ups.

Our Soccer Player

We signed Evan up for soccer a few weeks ago. After the second week – Evan could control the ball (reasonably), stop it with his feet, jump over it (two feet together) and more! He likes it and we enjoy watching him!
