Playing Nicely Together
The Boys’ New Room
Upon Evan’s request – we spent the entire Sunday moving the boys into one room and Cora into her own room. The boys are enjoying their room together and we were pretty happy with the results.
Our First Extraction
So we sat eating dinner and about half way through watched Will put a pea in his nostril. Figuring it would fall out I was not concerned…that did not happen. He must have breathed in. I immediately grabbed the phone to call Denise and Jen immediately said get a flashlight and tweezers. Jen did not have any success and I started to get worried. Doesn’t the nose connect right to the throat…won’t it go down….I just could not think. We carried Will over to the window for more light, he is screaming now, I took Jen’s long tweezers and grabbed the pea. At that point he thought of finishing my dinner, made me sick. I cleaned up the kitchen. Hopefully our first and last.
Year Two Update
May 19, 2012 update
Will – weight: 29 pounds (63%) height: 35 inches (76%). Will is just amazing – He loves to throw things whether it is a ball or a toy in the house. He loves to talk too, except when his brother and sister won’t shut their mouths :). He is our snuggler.
Cora – weight: 24 pounds (16%) height: 32 inches (15%). Cora continues to be our peanut. The doctor said she is small but proportionate. Cora never stops talking…never! She has so much to say about everything….even things we do not always understand. She is also very dramatic…do not know where she got that from.
Future baseball star.
We have come to the conclusion that Will is our future sports star. He already kicks the ball quite good, enjoys hitting the ball off of the t-ball and likes to run everywhere.
A few weeks ago Will and Cora went with Evan to his t-ball class and Will went right up to the t and hit the ball when they were finishing up the class.
Tonight he decided he was going to practice his track and field ability by making me chase him all around the living room before getting his PJs on.
His one favorite word is ball and if any one near him has a ball he wants it. At the playground when other kids are playing basketball on the court, he is mesmerized. You have to almost hold him back or he runs right up and tries to take the ball.
We will see how things progress in the next few years….I have to say he loves the computer too though…we will see.
Keep your clothes on!
Clothes would be okay if the diaper did not come off with it. Cora has decided she is more comfortable with her clothes off and her diaper as well. The one positive is it seems she always goes potty before the diaper comes off. Yesterday she took her pants and diaper off, we put it back on twice and then I decided to just bring the potty chair out into the living room and told her several times to sit and put her down on the chair several times. I went to put clean clothes away and came out and Cora was shapely getting out of the clothes backet….weird. I went to take a look and she had gone potty in the basket. I guess it is better than the couch or floor. There is always something crazy going on at the Muller-Zelazny household!
Peek a Boo
Will and I were on the couch the other night and Colby was laying next to us. Colby had his head leaning on the top of the couch cushion – many of you can visualize this. All of a sudden I realize that Will is trying to play Peek a Boo with Colby. It was so sweet – but I tried to inform Will that Colby really is not a fan of the game.
Will has become a big fan of Colby, even when he is not playing Peek a Boo. Whenever he is next to Colby he likes to lean on him and put his head on him. He also likes to push Colby from behind. Probably something we should stop him from doing. But the smile is adorable as he leans or pushing or tries to play Peek a Boo.
What Happened at Pre-school?
Each Tuesday and Thursday I look forward to coming home and hearing about what Evan said at preschool – I always hope for good news.
Last week we heard about how Evan corrected his teacher while she read One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. It seems she is not a big fan of the book and she was trying to skip some pages or at least some words to get through the fairly long book quicker. Well Evan, who practically has the book memorized, mentioned several times that she was saying the “wrong word” (one of his catch phrases) and skipping pages. She loves Evan but all you teachers know how we do not appreciate the student who constantly correct us – hopefully his cuteness helps her look past the corrections. 🙂
