Evan’s Family Reunion 2008

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

We all had a great time at the family reunion this past year and now there are pictures to prove it. Needless to say – Evan was exhausted after 3 very busy days with his family (his maternal great grandmother’s side of the family). Check out the photos from the 40th annual family reunion…well of Evan at the reunion ๐Ÿ˜‰ Evan did want to note he missed seeing his great grandparents when we were there.

Fun at the Family Reunion

Last weekend Amy, Evan, and I made the trek to New York for the 40th Evans’ Family Reunion. We got into town early Thursday morning, and left Sunday. During our time in New York – Evan had a blast. He road on a four wheeler (he had his own seat in the trailer that connects to the four wheeler). He also played in the sandbox, in his log cabin, and on his new slide that his grandpa and great grandfather built for him. He also had a blast with all of his cousins. Evan even entered the water balloon toss and did not come in last! Pictures to come soon!

Mr. Climb on Everything

Posted by: jzelazny | 4 Comments

Evan has decided in the last few days that he needs to climb on anything and everything. On Saturday I looked around the corner into our dining room and I found him laying on top of Triscuit’s elevated food bowls just hanging out. He also loves to climb all over furniture, on his toys, on his sandbox outside, and on anything that looks like a challenge. No more putting the remote or phone on the back couch cushion – he now can get up there in about 3 seconds flat from the floor position. Look out…perhaps he likes the one song in Sound of Music I cannot stand ๐Ÿ˜‰

Kisses

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Last night Evan decided to wake up at 11pm – which in the summer we have no problem with (every once in a while) because it give us another chance to see our amazing little boy. He was not excited about going back into the crib so he came into our bed for a while….after a few moments I said, “Evan can I have a kiss?”, and he gave me a real kiss on the cheek. It was the cutest thing — I would say ever– but there are so many cute things. The cutest thing in the last week.

Constant grabbing a hand full of dog food and going under the dining room table to eat it has not been so cute, but another event we need to figure out how to stop :). He really likes the new food we are feeding Triscuit. She does steal his food all the time, so I guess he thinks it is his right.

Evan’s New Friend

Evan and Sophie We all went to our friends’ lake house for the 4th of July and Evan ended up making a new friend with Doug and Kelly’s cute puppy Sophie. Evan chases Sophie, Sophie chases Evan. Check out the new photos (courtesy of Kelly) taken during the 4th of July weekend and Evan’s stay with Doug and Kelly a week ago. You will also note I switched the order of the photos so you view the latest at the top as expected. ๐Ÿ˜‰ You are welcome Amy.

Where is Evan?

The other day I was looking all over the house for Evan (I never trust him when all is quiet) so I began looking everywhere for him. The kitchen and my office were gated off, bathroom doors were both shut, he was not in Amy’s office, and he was not in his room or the livingroom. I then went into my bedroom and I heard some movement so I looked in the closets – no Evan, then I saw a foot sticking out of underneath the bed. Evan had decided to crawl under the bed and hide out. I have to say this was pretty darn cute – until he came out with a big dust bunny. Moral to the story – he continues to keep me on my toes.

Trip to Disney World

We had the pleasure of going to Walt Disney World thanks to Aunt Kathy and Grandad Muller. A huge thank you to both of you. We all had a blast! We started out on Sunday night by having dinner with the Winnie the Pooh characters followed by some time in the Magic Kingdom where Evan road his first ride ever: It’s a Small World – and he absolutely loved it. He looked in awe and amazement while we road through the ride and could not get enough.

On Monday we went to Epcot and had dinner where Evan had his first taste of “Pirate Punch” which is raspberry lemonade. He loved it!

On Tuesday we were off to Disney Studios where we road the super cool new Toy Story ride and had dinner with Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, Goofy and Minnie Mouse.

On Wednesday we went back to the Magic Kingdom and Evan enjoyed Dumbo, the tea cups, and other exciting rides.

On Thursday we went to the Animal Kingdom where Evan enjoyed his first Safari!

On Friday we went back to the Magic Kingdom and wrapped up the rides we did not have a chance to go to the other days as well as Evan and Amy enjoyed the pool at the resort we stayed at (Sarasota Springs).

Overall it was a great vacation. Evan got sick the last day, but really was a trooper through it all! Check out the Disney photos!
