With the fall months quickly passing us by we have been thinking about Evan’s 2nd birthday on December 16th. We know that many of our friends and family will be asking soon about what our little guy wants, so I put together a “Wish List” at www.toysrus.com. Go to the website, choose “Wish List” from the tabs at the top of the page, fill in my name (Amy Muller) and our town and state (Palatine, IL) and then it will find Evan’s wish list. There is some general information (Additional Wish List Information) about other likes and items as well. Of course…visiting and spending time with us is the best present we could ever ask for…so feel free to come out and visit or come over and just say hello and spend a little time with our wonderful little guy!
Evan had a good time, did good with going up to get candy but wanted to eat the candy from the previous house while getting candy at the next house. After the trick or treating with friends we went to a Halloween party where Evan enjoyed chasing a new friend about his age around a table, eating ice, and playing with blocks. Check out more photos of Evan’s Halloween experience!
Here are a few pictures taken over the last two weeks of Evan hanging out in the house (also know as the time we do not let him spend with his wagon).
Evan had such a good time today – his second Halloween. He came to visit my school this afternoon, which was such a treat to see my little guy during the day and then we had a very busy night. Right after school we headed out to Colleen’s house to trick or treat with Danny, Cullen, Charlie, Ron and Colleen. Evan had a great time, whether running up to the doors for candy or hanging out in the wagon, his new favorite thing, with Charlie. Evan did an awesome job watching the other boys and figuring out what the whole Halloween thing was all about. He got a nice little bucket of candy. Then we were off to the Casparian Halloween party – thanks Angie for the invite. Evan had a good time playing with Angie’s nephew, Gabe. They ran through the doorways, played under the table, and ate ice cubes. Evan had a blast. It was a good Halloween.
Evan has a new “favorite” and that is his wagon. I had been thinking about getting one or at least putting a wagon on his birthday or Christmas wish list but last weekend one of our neighbors was having a garage sale and they had the very same wagon I was going to buy him for sale. I like the classic red metal Radio Flyer wagon and now Evan loves it. When we are outside – all he wants to do is sit in it or pull it around (I have been pulling him in it on our walks instead of using the stroller. When he is inside and tired, he will often cry and say “wagon, wagon” because he wants to go outside and play with it. This was the best $8.00 I have spent in a long time!
As most people know – Evan lost his first puppy on Wednesday (October 15th). Evan loved Triscuit a lot. He loved taking her for walks, feeding her his table food, playing with her tags, and saying hi and waving to her. Even though Evan could not quite get the name “Triscuit” out – he tried to get the “TR” out and loved when she was around. I am saddened by the fact that Evan will probably not remember Triscuit, but at least we have some good pictures of them together.
Yesterday Evan took his first step towards getting potty trained – he actually went to the bathroom in his little potty chair. On another note – on our way home from picking him up at the babysitter’s house, Amy said “Thank you” to Evan for something and he then said “You’re welcome.” We both got a huge kick out of that.
This morning Evan’s aunt Jule had a baby who she and uncle Dan named Hunter Thomas Ambrose (6lb 9oz born around 3am). I think Hunter looks like Julie – and I look forward to more pictures. We are all excited to meet him and to get to know him. Mommy is excited to teach Hunter all kinds of sweet tricks to make his mom’s life more interesting! Evan will also have fun with another cousin and will surely make family visits more interesting and fun. Thank goodness Julie had her iPhone with her to take this picture! Congratulations Julie and Dan!
