The kids and Amy spent Columbus Day at the local pumpkin patch with friends. This photo almost looks fake – but it is the real deal. Yes – Evan sported my colonial hat.
Here is Will at kickboxing all set to go. I call him Canelo (cinnamon in Spanish) because he reminds me of one of my favorite boxers Canelo Alverez who also has red hair.
The boys and I (Jen) went to the dentist today and all of us are cavity free. Both Evan and Will did great!
Will has a great class and he is lucky to have one of his best pales from pre-school in his class.
First day of school quiz:
What is “Kicking and Screaming”?
A. One of Jen’s favorite movies?
B. How Cora entered the classroom?
C. All of the above?
The boys had a great morning – no tears, but Cora…not so much. The answer is C. At one point she literally was kicking and screaming as I tried to put her in line with her other classmates. Good times!
Some of my favorite (and not so favorite…poison oak) memories happened behind Jefferson school in the playground. We spent hours each day playing kickball, football, and most our most favorite sport – wiffle ball. After telling the kids about a number of my childhood stories – I decided it would be fun to take them there and play some wiffle ball with them by the house I grew up in. We all had a great time!
The kids all had fun visiting my family in New York. They particularly enjoyed the root beer floats (as did I when I visited my grandparents).
I found this on Evan’s door before vacation. He made a countdown and then was crossing the # of days left off.
