The latest on the whole crew
After dinner Evan was trying to get us to give him a snack (cookies or candy). I told him that I did not want him eating any of that type of food because he had had enough junk food for the day. Evan then told me:
Candy is not junk food. Junk food is food you get from the garbage.
Got to love Evan’s attempt at warping logic to get candy. He ended up eating an clementine instead.
Cheese and Cracker Time
I think Amy could easily live off of cheese and crackers (and I could live off of cheese crackers) so when I discovered that Will and Cora both love Cheese (American) and crackers (Oyster) I was not surprised. Cheese and crackers make for a nice quick and easy snack/part of meal that is easy for them to pick up and eat as well as for us to quickly get something out to these usually starving children who when they want food – they want it now!
Tasty
Yesterday – we decided to give the twins their first taste of “solid” food – rice cereal with Apple. You think your dinner time is chaotic? Invite us over…you will soon realize how relaxing your meal is without us 😉
After getting Evan set up in his chair at the dining room table, I had to get something in the kitchen before I started feeding him. Next thing I know, I hear a “splat” and I look around the corner and Evan has the spoon in his mouth and his food tipped over and spilled on the table, the chair, and the floor. He has become a persistent reacher!
