Evan in New York (Day 1)

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

This just in from my mother about Evan’s first day in New York with Grandma and Grandpa Z. We will re-unite with Evan next week!

Evan has had a busy day so far today. He woke up at 6 as Grandpa was making coffee, but he went back to bed and slept until 7:30. He was outside immediately in his jammies, calling turkeys and checking everything out. He and Grandpa then went outside after breakfast, but had to wear their bug hats because of all of the little gnats flying around as they were working. They then took a four wheeler ride up to Bill’s house to check things out there. Then he played in the “playground” and was quite proud of himself on how high he could swing this year. He also had to play in the sandbox, too. He came in for a while and did some “chores” for us – made his bed and vacuumed crumbs with the hand vacuum. He ate a good lunch and is now playing with the Fisher Price fire station. Next, he and Grandpa are going to go into town to get the tire for his tire swing and do some other errands.

Diane Hogan and her two grandsons are coming up at 5:30 to cook hotdogs and s’mores.

By the way, when we move to another house, he is going to come here to live!!!

We are all having a good time and thought you would like to see a couple pictures.

Family Trips Zelaznys

Summer 2011 at Kill Buck

image-45Evan flew to New York with Grandma Z to spend a little over a week golfing and eating at Elkdale, meeting new friends, meeting Aunt Terry, playing with Gaga and Papa, and having a great time “in the forest” aka Grandma’s house. He also enjoyed building a bird house, seeing some Alpacas, and even drinking some of Grandma Z’s perfume. A big thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Z for having Evan stay with them. Check out the photos from his trip to New York.

Grandma Z and Aunt Julie’s Visit

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Evan posingBoth Aunt Julie and Grandma Z flew in for Evan’s birthday party. Evan enjoyed spending time with both of them and even did some fun non-birthday party stuff like decorating a gingerbread house. Evan let Aunt Julie sleep in his car bed and he had a slumber party with Grandma. He did a good job not kicking and moving all around like he normally does so I was happy about that. The last night Grandma Z was in town, we put Evan back in his own bed and after an hour or so of sleeping, he woke up crying and so Grandma rocked him to sleep on her lap and then we let him sleep one more night with her.

When we dropped Grandma off at the airport, Evan asked if he could go with her back to Florida and that was pretty cute, but instead he got to stay here in the Chicagoland area with us. All in all, it was a good trip. Thanks for traveling – it means a lot!

After a few weeks of not downloading pictures to my computer – I realized I had a lot of photos from this past summer that were not shared on this web site. I have posted new photos from a visit to Eve’s house (Evan’s friend), a visit with Aiden (another of Evan’s friends), Evan working for my company, Evan at his gym class, and Grandma Z’s visit. Enjoy!

Last week Grandma Z was here visiting for a few days and she and Evan had lots of fun. They went to the playground, played in the back yard, went for walks, went to Evan’s swimming class and gym class, read books together, and had a great time watching Evan’s favorite TV shows. A big thanks to Grandma Z for visiting!
