Halloween Decorations

Posted by: jzelazny | 0 Comments

Evan really enjoys decorations and one of his favorite (and Amy’s) is our Halloween Winnie the Pooh blow up. Denise put up orange lights on our front bush, Amy put up all kinds of window clings, and a spider web on the back bushes, but each day Evan gets excited when he sees his friend Pooh in the front yard. In this picture, the man of your dreams is holding Pooh’s hand and is super excited he is getting his picture taken with his yard friend.

Goebbert’s Pumpkin Farm 2010

Evan on the hayride Last week we ventured out to the nearby pumpkin farm with all the kids and had a great time. We took everyone on the “spooky” hayride, let Evan play on a big bouncy thing, and enjoyed some apple cider donuts. Evan loves to go here and we look to go back another time in the next few weeks. We will probably not go back on the hayride – as it was a little too spooky at one point. You could literally see him freeze up in fear (we were in a barn that had a big fake spider in the rafters and some scary-ish looking props). Fortunately – the spooky part only lasted a few minutes. Check out some more photos of our trip to Goebbert’s pumpkin farm.

Count Evan

Last year Evan did not go trick or treating, but he did pose with his sister Triscuit out in the back yard. This year Evan ventured out in his vampire costume to get some candy with his friends. He met Amy at her school with Denise and her nephew so Amy’s co-workers could see Evan dressed up. He then went to McDonalds where he met up with Susan so she could see him in his sweet costume. A few hours later I picked him up from Denise’s house and took him and Amy out to our friends who have three boys so they could go trick or treating together.

Evan had a good time, did good with going up to get candy but wanted to eat the candy from the previous house while getting candy at the next house. After the trick or treating with friends we went to a Halloween party where Evan enjoyed chasing a new friend about his age around a table, eating ice, and playing with blocks. Check out more photos of Evan’s Halloween experience!

Yoda and the Racer

Halloween

Evan and Triscuit both tried on their Halloween costumes yesterday so we could snap a few pictures. Of course, Yoda was more interested in eating the pumpkin stem than trying to train Triscuit to use the light saber, but at least Triscuit ran a few laps to show off her “racer” costume. Check out the new photos!
